Cake Smash Photography Tips & Tricks
I'm an experienced photographer so please, let me give you some tips & tricks to make your Cake Smash photos perfect and the shoot as efficient as possible.
First of all, please arrive on time. Any delay caused by you will reduce our reserved time for your shoot.
Where can I order the cake for my shoot?
There are many bakeries in the Netherlands which supply cakes. Just Google it. Fotoshoot Rotterdam has selected these suppliers where you can order your cake on-line:

When is the best time to do Cake Smash shoot?
Your child's first birthday, of course. If you book 2-3 weeks in advance most of the time we can guarantee you the shoot on your childe's birthday. But on the other hand, it's not a disaster if your shoot is done a few days earlier or later.
How do we at Fotoshoot Rotterdam prepare ourselves for your Cake Smash shoot?
We prepare the scenery, props, toys, clothes, our equipment etc. for your individual shoot. The temperature in our studio is perfect (20-21 °C ), it's quiet, nobody is disturbing us. In our studio you can easily feed your baby, change your baby's diaper, etc.
What about clothes, costumes, toys, props, gadgets?

Where can we do your shoot?
Everywhere. You decide where your pictures will be taken. Our studio offers the best facility because of the available dresses, props and gadgets, lighting and other equipment. But a shoot at home, in the outdoors or other location gives a special atmosphere. And I can take a lot of equipment and props with me. So your Cake Smash pictures can be taken literally everywhere.
Which styles, themes can you choose from?
As you can see in our portfolio, you can choose literally any style, theme, story which will accopmany your Cake Smash shoot. From colourful, 'bling-bling' & sweet to minimalistic, basic, quiet, black & white. You decide about it. Or I can make suggestions. You can combine various styles in one shoot.
What about make-up and hair styling?

Can my family members and friends join my shoot?

Can I choose my pictures (which will be edited and delivered)?
Yes. You are the only one choosing your stunning photos. Then our photographer will edit them and deliver them to you.
How do I receive my photos?
They will be sent digitally to you via WeTransfer. Your pictures will be professionally edited in high resolution.
What if my Cake Smash shoot is outside and the weather gets worse?
Well, it seems to be a problem but it isn't. We have two options:
1. Reschedule your shoot
2. Your shoot takes place in our professional studio
We do not charge you extra for rescheduling.
